APPEAL FOR EDUCATIONAL AID
We are in the school/college admission time and it is the right time to pitch in for some service to our needy children in villages. Textbooks are provided by the Government and these village students cannot afford to get the other stationeries required for the school and are in need of helping hands.
Sri Panduranga Charities has been doing this noble service of helping the needy school children of small villages in and around Kumbakonam with study kit for the last 4 years. The kit includes Notebooks, Geometry box, school bags, uniforms etc to name a few. Sri Vittaldas Maharaj has been executing this noble service for the past 4 years helping more than 700 children from 5 neighboring villages in Kumbakonam.
This year, Sri Vittaldas Maharaj is planning to extend this service to around 1000 children from 6 neighboring villages. The cost to support one child with this kit comes to around Rs. 500, thereby totaling the estimate for this noble cause to around Rs. 5 Lakhs.
